Palm reading lines chart: what each line of the hand means
Every palm carries its own map of lines. This guide brings together, in one place, the palm reading lines studied in palmistry: where each one sits and the traditional meaning given to it, so you can recognize them on your own hand.

The three major lines
The life line curves around the base of the thumb and is associated with vitality and how you move through change. The head line crosses the middle of the palm and reflects thinking style: analytical when straight, creative when curved. The heart line runs just below the fingers and describes how you feel and relate to others. Almost everyone has these three lines clearly marked.
Fate line and sun line
The fate line rises from the wrist toward the middle finger and is linked to career direction and a sense of purpose; not every hand has one, and its absence is not negative. The sun line, usually shorter, points toward the ring finger, and tradition connects it with creativity, recognition and personal fulfillment.
Minor lines
Beyond the major lines, palmistry looks at minor lines: relationship lines on the edge of the palm below the little finger, the girdle of Venus above the heart line (associated with sensitivity), the intuition line on the outer side and the bracelets on the wrist. They are fine and vary a lot from hand to hand, so they are read as nuances rather than central traits.
How to read the lines on your own hand
Use good light and open your palm in a relaxed position. Find the life line first, then the head and heart lines; after that, look for the fate line and the minor lines. Notice length, depth, curvature and breaks. Remember that palm reading is a practice of entertainment and self-reflection: it does not predict the future or replace professional advice.
